Easy Hot Smoked Mackerel Pate

A fantastic Christmas canape or starter, incredibly easy to do and with only 5 ingredients! I love a seafood starter, this hot smoked mackerel pate is so delicious paired with toasted soda bread and takes only minutes to make.


Total Cooking Time;

5 Minutes


Ingredients (Serves 4-6)

200g Hot smoked mackerel (I buy this)

2 tbsp Half fat creme fraiche

2 tbsp Cream cheese

1/2 Lemon (juice and zest)

1 Handful parsley


Method

1. Flake the mackerel from the skin and add to a food processor.

2. Add the creme fraiche, cream cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest and parsley to the food processor and blitz until smooth. Season with black pepper and transfer to a glass container with a sealed lid ready to serve.
